Payment
I prefer to operate a cash business but will accept most private insurance and Medicare. The terms for cash prosthetic services are half of the total for the prosthesis to begin and then the balance when the client is satisfied with the results.Does this mean you have to be wealthy to have me make you a prosthesis?
Not at all. I utilize Medicare allowable fees for my services and provide a bill that can then be submitted to insurance or Medicare for reimbursement. I accept most major insurance carriers. I have a billing service that invoices and pursues insurers to obtain payment. I collect all copays and expect to be reimbursed at a minimum of Medicare allowable fees.
Current Contracts include:
- Medicare
- Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield
- Employers Benefit Plan
- United Healthcare
- Sierra Nevada Administrators
- TriCare Healthcare Alliance
I also unconditionally guarantee my work. If for whatever reason the prosthesis does not meet your expectations then I will refund all but the material costs that I have incurred. This is not an idle commitment, in the 22 years I have been making limbs I have given the three clients, who were dissatisfied, their money back.
